Quarzite Verde

Quarzite Verde

Very fine-grained chloriteepidote schist, light green in colour; marked foliation due to alignment of albite crystals, glomeroblastic quartz and aggregates of sheet silicates. Mineralogical composition: pecilitic albite, chlorite, epidote and scarce white mica; sphene, rutile and pyrite are accessory minerals. Quartz and calcite are present in elongated lenses.
